"Picture Perfect"
The first born of Red Hawk Ranch's 2004 foals was awarded
"Premium" by the GOV Keuring judges on August 1, 2004 for
her excellent conformation and well balanced gaits. Sired
by imported German warmblood, ``Pik's Pride`` (``Pik Noir``
x ``Barsoi`` --- go to www.GermanDressage.com),
this filly's damside lineage is represented by two superstars:
``Rohdiamant`` (World Cup 2002), and ``Weltmeyer`` (seven
of his sons have become Bundeschampions).
Like her dam, (``Royal Dream`` appeared on the cover of October
2000 issue of Reiter Prisma magazine) ``Picture Perfect``
is elegant and feminine with floating, uphill movement.

"Photocopy"
is another Red Hawk Ranch "Premium" 2004 GOV Premium filly
sired by ``Pik's Pride.``
The Keuring judges noted during their August 1, 2004 inspection
that ``Photocopy`` exhibited the same "presence" as her imported
Mecklenburger dam (``Doppler Shift``) who is an absolute attention
getter in any arena (see one example on the Bulletin Page,
July 19, 2003 @ www.BDEQ.net).
``Pik's Pride`` completed his 100 Day Test at Landgestüt Zweibrücken,
with a 10 for character, and 9's for trot, canter and rideability.
During a string of ten consecutive Fourth Level dressage victories
during 2004, ``Pik's Pride`` was described by judges as a
"magnificent horse, with lovely gaits and uphill balance -
great expression and carriage!"
``Photocopy's`` damsire, ``D'Olympic`` was Vice World Champion
for Young Dressage Horses (June 2000 in Arnhem, Holland).
His lineage is the product of two megastars: sire ``Donnerhall,``
and damsire ``Cor de la Bryere.``

"Penelope"
Sired by imported Oldenburger stallion ``Pik's Pride`` (www.GermanDressage.com).
``Pik's Pride's`` foals have been described having "all had
beautiful heads ... and every one of [his] foals have been
an absolute delight to work with -- very willing and with
soft dispositions.
``Pik's Pride`` descends from the warmblood
sporthorse bloodlines ``Pik Bube,`` ``Barsoi,`` and ``Absatz.``
``Penelope's`` damsire, ``Lanthano,`` descends
from legendary stallions ``Der Löwe`` and ``Akzent I.`` ``Lanthano``
produced ``Lettina,`` the 1997 Bundeschampion under Nicole
Casper. ``Penelope's`` damside is further influenced by ``Gotthard.``.

"Rosebud"
This
filly's sire, imported Hanoverian sire ``Rubino Bellissimo,``
is described as elegant & refined, and possessing his sire's
(``Rubinstein I``) incredible character and trainability
(scoring 9 for temperament during his Adelheidsdorf 100
Day Test).
``Rubinstein I``
competed with Olympic Gold Medalist Nicole Uphoff while
siring: ``Rohdiamant`` (2002 World Cup), ``Relevent`` (Grand
Prix mount for Lisa Wilcox), ``Rotspon`` (Landgestüt Celle
stallion), and ``Rubino Bellissimo.``
``Rubino Bellissimo's``
dam line descends from Hanoverians ``Bolero`` & ``Shogun
xx`` (producers of highly rideable horses), and Oldenburger
``Volturno`` (1976 and 1980 German Olympic Team member noted
his outstanding character).
``Rosebud's`` dam,
imported Dutch mare ``Glestrina,`` attracted abundant attention
during the 2001 Pavo Cup (Holland's national young horse
championship). Her superb gaits are attributed to the genes
she's inherited from ``Furioso II,`` Abgar,`` ``Gotthard,``
and ``G. Ramiro Z.``

"Harmony"
This Premium GOV colt is already exhibiting exquisitely expressive
gaits. His sire, imported Trakehner sire ``Herzberg,`` has
defined himself not only in the show ring but also through
his wonderful offspring. Before arriving in the United States,
``Herzberg`` sired the 2001 and 2002 Vice-Champions of the
Mare Performance Test at Landgestüt Zweibrücken. This dark
bay elite [refining] stallion by ``Leonardo`` is an extraordinarily
handsome horse who combines superlative gaits with rideability
as evidenced by his numerous successes at Prix St. Georges,
and Intermediare.
``Harmony's`` damsire ``Rubicell`` (standing at Gestüt Birkhof
near Stuttgart, Germany) is by Westphalian superstar, ``Rubinstein
I," a 100 Day Test Champion and Vice Bundeschampion who subsequently
sired over 40 Approved sons and over 300 State Premium Mares.
Further damside influence in ``Harmony's`` gaits descends
from ``Lord`` who is described by Ausgewählte Hengste Deutschlands
2003 as: a "Holstein showjumping millionaire."
``Harmony's`` photo taken in the Red Hawk Ranch
arena at just seven weeks old --- says a lot.

"Harry Potter"
(born the day of the book release) is a handsome youngster
whose sensible character makes him a favorite of his first
trainer, Wicki Ristedt, from Mecklenburg, Germany. Like
his siblings, he shows a willingness to work, along with
aptitudes for dressage and jumping that make him the perfect
young horse for the amateur rider with dreams of a wonderful
show ring partner. ``Harry Potter`` is currently in training
near Carmel, California with Patience Carr who says "he's
mellow, doing great, a delight to ride" and that this gelding
is comfortable to sit and is suitable for a future in dressage
or jumping.

"Cool Summer"
His
recognition as "Verband SeigerHengstfolhen" (Top
Verband colt in Germany, 1999) foretold three powerful gaits
that Maik Ristedt of Mecklenburg, Germany experienced last
year with "Cool Summer." Eye-catching athleticism describes
this imported gelding who was sired by top PSI Auktion Horse
"Cayman" (descending from "Calypso II"). "Cool Summer's"
dam side descends from the great Trakehner stallion, "Absatz"
who is attributed with refinement to the Hannoverian superstar
'Weltmeyer." Two approved full brothers and St.Pr.St
full sister remain in Germany.
Dressage
training during the first half of 2004 with Kim Kulesa of
Moorpark, California provided sound fundamentals for "Cool
Summer's" current jumping training with Mr. Lyn Clarke
in Temecula, California.
